Fine Sand Supply
Finer sand for plaster, mortar and finishing work

What it is
Fine sand has smaller, more even grains than ordinary raiti, which makes a smoother mix.
What it is used for
- Plaster and rendering
- Mortar and jointing
- Grouting
- Bedding for tiles
How it differs from similar materials
Finer than raiti, so it gives a smoother surface. It is not the choice for bulk filling, where the coarser sand works.
What affects the rate
Material type, quality, quantity, location and delivery requirements. All five are discussed before you confirm an order.
Delivery
Delivered across Karachi by dumper, subject to availability and where the site is.
DeliveryCommon questions
- Where is fine sand used?
- Plaster, mortar, grouting and tile bedding. Anywhere a smooth finish matters.
- Is fine sand the same as plaster sand?
- They overlap. Plaster sand is chosen for a clean, light colour with low silt, which fine sand is not always graded for.
- Can fine sand be used for filling?
- It can, but it is not the sensible choice for bulk filling. Coarser sand works for that and packs just as well.
